DESCRIPCTION:
Extra virgin olive oil produced in Los Navalmorales (Toledo) with olives of the Arbequina, Hojiblanca, Redondilla, Picual and Cornicabra varieties certified with the Montes de Toledo PDO.
This exclusive case is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates, as it is practically impossible to find these five varieties of olives together in a single box.
These are two extra virgin olive oils harvested at their optimum moment of ripeness, resulting in an exceptional complexity of aromas. To select this optimum moment of ripeness, field monitoring is carried out, analysing the fruits from different plots, from which only those with the best parameters are selected. The aim is to strive for excellence, combining exhaustive management of the olive grove throughout the year to obtain olives with excellent characteristics, and control of all the basic operations of the production process in the oil mill.
Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección Arbequina: The nose reveals delicate fruity notes of olive and other fruits, with hints of apple, pear, green banana, green almond and light herbaceous touches. The attack is sweet and very elegant, while the bitterness is almost imperceptible and the pungency is balanced. The aftertaste is very fruity, with sweet fruit, green banana and subtle hints of green almond predominating. This oil is characterised by its harmony, complexity and balance in its aroma and flavour notes.
Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección Hojiblanca: The nose is fruity of green olives of medium intensity, marked by its great complexity. Aromas with herbaceous tones, aromatic herbs and fresh fruit stand out. On the palate, a slight bitterness and sweetness are perfectly balanced, while the spiciness is intense and persistent.
Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección Redondilla: On the nose, there is a medium-high intensity green olive fruitiness, with aromas and nuances reminiscent of freshly cut grass. Notes of fresh green leaves and stems stand out, harmonising with the marked perception of bitterness and spiciness. This is a very exclusive oil, as La Pontezuela is the only producer in the world that markets this variety separately.
Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección Picual: On the nose it has an intense green olive fruitiness, with notes of freshly cut grass, olive leaf, tomato, artichoke, green apple, green banana and green almond. On the palate it is a full-bodied oil, characterised by its traditionally well-balanced bitterness and spiciness.
Finca La Pontezuela 5 Elementos Gran Selección Cornicabra (Montes de Toledo PDO): On the nose, there is a medium intensity green fruitiness with fruity notes of ripe apple and strawberry and hints of green olive and aromatic herbs such as thyme and rosemary. On the palate, it has a medium intensity of bitterness and pungency with a very pleasant, balanced and clean finish. The aftertaste is fruity, with sweet fruit predominating, subtle hints of orchard and bitter almond.
