Virgin olive oil obtained from the fruits of the olive tree, using the arbequina, royal and morrut varieties. These are separated into two groups according to when they are collected:
Fruity: comes from the early collection, a greener colour, more "body" and an almond taste.
Sweet: come from a later collection, a yellow colour and more "fluid".
The prodcution zone is part of the province of Tarragona just off the Mediterranean coast which, starting in Les Garrigues de Lleida, crosses from the north-east to the south-east of these municipalities: El Priorato, El Bajo Campo, El Alto Campo, El Tarragonés and La Ribera del Ebro.
