DESCRIPCTION:
In India, cardamom is mainly used in the preparation of breads, desserts and biscuits. It is even used in teas. In Arab countries, it is often used to enhance the flavour of coffee.
Cardamom is a real treat for the palate. It has a unique flavour, somewhere between bitter and sweet, which leaves no one indifferent. This spice is very versatile. It goes well with meat, herbal teas, creams, desserts and even cocktails. Would you like to try using it in your cooking?
Here are some ideas for how to use it:
- Meat. Have you tried chicken curry with cardamom? You won't believe how a pinch of cardamom can improve the dish.
- Vegetable soups. With 3 or 4 cardamom seeds, a pumpkin or carrot soup becomes much more appetising.
- Desserts. Biscuits, breads, buns, sweets... cardamom is irresistible in baking. If you don't believe it, try the typical lemon sponge cake with half a tablespoon of ground cardamom.
- Infusions. If you have digestive problems, use it in an infusion. Drink it and you will notice its effects.
- Cocktails. How about a gin and tonic with a little cardamom? Just 3 seeds are enough to work their magic.
