Olmeda Orígenes' extraordinary quince jam is produced in the Spanish gastronomic paradise of Guijos de Santa Bárbara, in the province of Cáceres.
Quince was already known to the ancient Greeks and Romans, and was considered the fruit of love and fertility. For this reason, all quince trees were consecrated to the goddess of love, Aphrodite, and Olmeda Orígenes shows its devotion to this fruit by sharing this traditional product with other cultures.
Prepared by hand following the traditions of the area and the secret family recipe, the sweet is made from natural fruit selected one by one, with no additives or artificial colouring added. A simple product, but with a unique flavour. Ingredients: 65% quince, 35% sugar and cooked at low temperature.
Ideal for desserts, breakfasts and sweet snacks. For a good contrast of flavours, try it with a slice of cheese, in salads or with foie. It is simply delicious.
