Torta is a cheese made in the region of Extremadura (Spain) that is characterised by its smooth, creamy texture and intense, slightly bitter flavour. This cheese goes perfectly with tomato jam, as it is sweet and slightly acidic. The combination of both ingredients results in an extraordinary play of textures and a delicious flavour that is easy to adapt to both sweet and savoury recipes.
Serving suggestions: Try it on canapés, sandwiches and toasted bread or as a filling for tartlets, croquettes or pasties.
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, it is recommended to keep refrigerated and consume within 5 days.
