The Alimentos de España Prize has been awarded annually since 1997 by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
It rewards the best Spanish extra virgin olive oils in three categories: Best Bitter Green Fruity, Best Sweet Green Fruity and Best Mature Fruity. In turn, the oil that obtains the highest total score is awarded the Alimentos de España Special Prize for Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

- Best Sweet Green Fruity and Alimentos de España Special Award: Oro de Cánava Selection Picual (Jaén)
- Best Bitter Green Fruity: Rincón de la Subbética Hojiblanca (Córdoba)
- Best Ripe Fruitiness: Finca La Gramanosa Arbequina (Barcelona)
Presented in an elegant cardboard case that includes 3 bottles of 500 ml. and a diploma certifying the award.
