The La Boella estate is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees in the Campo de Tarragona, next to the Mediterranean, where the climate of mild winters and warm summers is ideal for the development of olive trees. There they produce their premium extra virgin olive oils under the brand La Boella, using the Arbequina, Arbosana and Koroneiki varieties.
In terms of plant health, at Molí Coloma they carry out a constant and exhaustive control on their farms, minimising the use of agrochemical products to the maximum and optimising production methods. In this way, they achieve a high quality production.
The olives are harvested when they are at their optimum point of ripeness, while the time between harvesting and pressing is reduced to 1 hour and the olives are picked directly from the tree, without falling to the ground. This process results in an extra virgin olive oil with olives that are totally fresh and full of nuances.
Molí Coloma is committed to new developments in the field of olive trees and oils. For this reason, they have collaborated in the recovery of the arbosana olive and have introduced the koroneiki olive, originally from Greece, into their area, adapting it to the climate and terrain.
Molí Coloma is part of the Sumarroca Group, which also includes Bodegues Sumarroca, whose organic estate is shared.
